Update 3
Update 3 (04/02/24):
This update is a small one, remade the inventory system so that each slot could stack an item, this new system checks whether an item can be stacked or not and if the max item stack size is reached places the remaining amount of that item into an empty slot. I need to create pickups for each item so that they can be dropped onto the ground of the game for the player to pick up and so that they can remove the items from their inventory. Saving the inventories will be the next thing I add, but I need to create chests for the player to put items into.
I also added a destruction animation to tiles and had each tile have a toughness value so that the length of the animation and destruction is different depending on the tile.
